I read with interest these MIBs, since I do a lot of work with them,
but was not a member of the charmib WG.

I was surprised that the rs232 and parallel MIBs were updated to match
the ifMIB evolution, but the char stream MIB itself was not.  This means
duplication of effort, particularly of the AdminStatus and OperStatus,
and the LowerIfIndex.  I would have preferred that char stream MIB go in
the ifStack.  If this is not feasible, more rationale in section 3.1
would be in order.

Could we call "charmib MIB" the "char-stream MIB"?

The references in sections 3.1 in all three documents does not match the
reference sections.  The index numbers are wrong, and in one case, the
reference is not present at all.
