My impression is that the high rate of messages on the list
(I would also say that they are competent and well articulated)
indicates that people are highly interested in this MIB.
I also think that we must not always look for the lowest denominator.
Even if some aspects cannot be implemented from the begining by
everybody, what we should get is a consensus thet this is the right
way of describing the objects we want to manage, that the solution is
needed and that it is technically implementable at at reasonable price.

I do fully agree. We should have first #2) formally done, (can you do it,
Dave A., taking into account the contributions on the list?). Then, for
the IETF meeting we should prepare material and discuss #1), despite
the fact that I think most of us have the same models in mind. The last
point #3) will result from discussions, or we can have a poll on each
section.
