It has been too quite here for too long. No progress... I have had a number of conversations with the RFC authors and HOPE to finally see some postings soon. All I can do at this juncture is to talk them into typing again. Their bosses sometimes have other ideas of how their time should be spend :} Meanwhile I ahd my nose draged over to the TELNET WG list to review a proposed draft on a new option. I will post this option here, because to a some of us, it reads as a ClsDst Pass option. Such an option could be used to transfer a TN3270 connection directly to a server that has access to a service. It can also be used to load balancing for a group of TN3270 servers. Others come to mind. Please review this draft. Restrict comments here on how such an option would be used for TN3270. If you have a comment on the draft, direct it to the TELNET list. I will include the list header, so if necessary, you can see how to send the message. Robert Moskowitz Chrysler Corporation TN3270E WG Chair
