The WG chair(s) will have to request a slot from the Area director(s),
publish an adgenda, and actually show. The logisics for Amsterdam
have already been published... at least the hotel info. (reproduced
below) IF we actually meet, it will be very interesting, since we
will have a much larger EC component, and corspondingly smaller US
component. This group seems to have a very UScentric focus. It will
be refreshing to see how what we do can be utilized by other countries.
We need to remember that what we do has global scope.

Dear IETF'ers:

July 12-16, 1993 is the 27th Internet Engineering Task Force which
will be held in Amsterdam at the RAI Congress Centre. The RAI has
it's own Hotel Service which was able to negotiate lower Hotel rates
than I was able to. To obtain these lower rates you MUST register
through the RAI Hotel Service. They have provided the form below,
which I have slightly modified. Please fill out the form according
to the instructions and fax or mail it to the RAI. DO NOT RETURN YOUR
FORM TO THE SECRETARIAT.

PLEASE also note that the IETF Secretariat will NOT be registering folks,
(this means you :*), for the AMSTERDAM meeting until after the March IETF
takes place. Any "modified" IETF registration forms sent prior to that
time will automatically be deleted. The standard IETF announcement will
be sent when we are ready to take registrations for the July Meeting.

I have already begun scheduling working groups for the Amsterdam
IETF. A Draft Agenda is available in the remote directories
under 0mtg-agenda.ams.txt

      >> DOUBLE - contains either two beds of 3 feet each,
or 1 bed of min. 6 feet
      >>

        -----------------------------------------------------------

The following information has been provided in response to several questions
I have received relating to Hotel Accommodations in Amsterdam.

> What's the difference between "walking distance" and "near the RAI"?

Walking distance is approximate 10 minutes. Anything above that is
noted as "near the RAI". The Altea Hotel happens to be a 15 minute walk.

> If I give them a credit card number for a guarantee, will they charge
> a deposit to it, or just keep the number in case I don't show up (like
> guaranteed late arrivals in the US)?

The RAI Hotel Service will not charge a deposit, but will keep the
number in their records. In the event of a no-show one nights room
charge will be assessed (like guaranteed late arrivals in the U.S.)

> What would 200 Dfl look like today?

The value of the dollar changes daily. Today, Friday, February 19th,
200 Dfl would be approximately $110.00. Your local bank should be
able to inform you of any changes to the exchange rate.
