Presentation Slides for the 32nd IETF Proceedings

If you want your presentation to be included in the proceedings* you are
required to submit both an on-line and hard copy set of your slides by
Friday, April 21. Hard copy versions will be accepted at the IETF
registration desk during the meeting (preferred) or via postal mail
following the meeting (if necessary). If you are sending slides via
postal mail, direct them to:

      Debra J. Legare
      Corporation for National Research Initiatives
1895 Preston White Drive, Suite 100
      Reston, VA 22091

On-line versions should be sent to:

      minutes@cnri.reston.va.us

Slides can be submitted in ASCII, PostScript, GIF or HTML. If slides are
in PostScript or GIF format, submit them in a MIME message or provide an
FTP URL.

A hard copy version of each presentation is required for the hard copy
version of the proceedings in the event that the on-line version is not
printable. The on-line version is, of course, required for the on-line
version of the proceedings.

* Presentation slides need not be included in the proceedings if the
information presented in them is included in the minutes.

Guidelines for hard copy versions follow.

1. Please do not submit handwritten slides unless it is absolutely
necessary. They are often illegible after reduction.

2. Please place a border around your slides. Flat dark borders (1/8th
inch thick) are best as they maintain their appearance even when
reduced. Thin borders fade after only one reduction, and slides
usually go through several reductions before they make it into the
proceedings. Please make certain borders are the same size on each slide.

3. Please use at least an 18-point bold font, so that information is not
    lost during reduction.

4. The more detailed your slides, the less clear they are when reduced.
Chances are that too much detail on the original gets lost even during
    the presentation.

5. If you have the means to do this, please provide us with a reduced set
of the slides you intend to present. Reduced slides MUST have borders.
Please do not reduce your slides if they do not have borders.

    a. Regardless of whether the slides used in your presentation are
landscape (horizontal - required for multicast presentations) or
portrait (vertical), the reduced versions should be arranged on
	a portrait page.

    b. Reduced landscape slides are arranged six to a portrait page. See
past issues of the proceedings for examples.

    c. Reduced portrait slides are arranged four to a portrait page. See
past issues of the proceedings for examples.

    d. Please allow for the following margins:

	1. top margin: 1/2"
	2. left/right margins: 3/4"
	3. bottom margin: 1/2" to 2"

6. When submitting your slides to the IETF registration desk, be sure
to specify that they are to be included in the proceedings.
