After you did the "interoperability tests" for RFC 4234 (thanks!) that
will be a full STD at the end of this week, and there are no UTF-8
identifiers in ABNF.

Adding something in the direction of XML 1.1 later would be trivial.

Let's enjoy the last years where that's not yet necessary (RFC 2277
mumbles something about at least 50 years, still 41 years to go. :-)
