Hi there all,

Firstly, thank you for your patience, Eric and I have had a fair bit of
discussion on this topic.

We are planning on forming the DNS Delegation (Deleg) Working Group in the
Internet Area, with myself as the AD. We are sill discussing chairs, so
thank you to everyone who volunteered, and here is the form again, in case
you missed it and wish to be considered as a chair (or just throw someone
else under the bus!) https://forms.gle/4pLJR7duKgY5KjFa9

We made a few minor tweaks to the charter, mostly formatting, and also
reiterating the "Deleg will coordinate with other WGs" point. Thanks to
Paul Hoffman and Wes Hardaker for helping review the changes.

The tweaked version (which we are planning on submitting to the IESG) is
here: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/charter-ietf-deleg/

While we hope to have a WG formed soon, I have also put in a "placeholder"
BoF request for IETF 120 (this is a common tactic to make sure that there
is an agenda slot gets reserved while the WG is being formed).

I'd like to thank everyone again for all of their hard work on this. This
includes the initial idea and document and being willing to work though the
IETF process (even though this slows things down and may result in a
different solution); the BoF proponents and chairs and all of their work
running a successful BoF; the people who have volunteered to chair; and
most importantly, everyone for continuing to work constructively towards
making the best solution that we can.

Thanks again,
W
