Hi Kiran,

Thanks for your support of adoption.

We agree that this is jointly influenced by large-scale and heterogeneity. How about in next version we put some text to further illustrate that, with the scaling of the networks, it is expected more different types and distances of the links co-exist, e.g. varying from a few meters to hundreds of meters and also network heterogeneity increases. Another consideration is that we do not want to put a too long name for the document.

In each Requirement of Section 3, the document describes the differences/challenges that are brought by large-scale network. Some of the problems are new, while some are the new challenges to the existing problems. Hope those could work and welcome more comments. Thanks!

Regards,
Peng

Hello Chairs,
I support the adoption of large-scale requirements work as a working group document. It covers several interesting scenarios which should be discussed on how Detnet will be supported in diverse set of cases.

I am struggling to put them under the context of ‘large-scale’ networks.

What authors refer to as large-scale here to me are a set of scenarios emerging due to heterogeneity and not necessarily the scale itself. There are 3 categories associated to the large-scale detnets in this document - per-hop variance, scale of flows, and domain-stitching. Except for flows, other two do not directly imply large-scale. So I have not fully bought into the title of the document.

Additionally, will it be possible to discuss how ‘current' Detnet solution does not support ‘large-scale’ scenario, and whether this is still in single administrative domain or multiple or kind of federated domains collaborating for a detent service. This could server as the purpose of this document.

I will try to send my detailed comments to the list in a couple of days.

Cheers,
Kiran

Hi Chair,
I also support the adoption. The current draft clearly states some realistic problems that need to be addressed.

Best,
