X-Listprocessor-Version: 6.0c -- ListProcessor by Anastasios Kotsikonas
X-Comment: Discussion of DHCP for IPv4
dhcp-impl@bucknell.edu, dhcp-bake@bucknell.edu, dhcp-dns@bucknell.edu, dhcp-serve@bucknell.edu Subject: Mailing lists going to digest mode Because our listserv processor has become severely overloaded this semester, our computer center is about to institute a policy in which all mailing lists whose subscribers are primarily external to Bucknell will be digested and the digests delivered once a day. This new policy will affect the DHCP mailing lists. In practice, this new policy should actually *improve* service to the DHCP mailing lists, as listserv processing time is currently averaging longer than 24 hours (!) (I'm mailing this as 8:40 PM on Thursday, 2/15). I'll keep up with the listserv processing load here and if the situation changes - e.g., we find a way to speed up listserv and sendmail - I'll try to get the mailing lists reinstated to non-digest mode. - Ralph
