Erikas--

I will examine the CMU server immediately, but, like Stephen Heilbronner,
would appreciate if you either post the MIB, or a pointer to the MIB, to the
listserver for us to review.

As a commercial user, we could build upon your work, but not take any code
that can't be licensed to us (we are extremely fussy about copyrights and
the use of intellectual property). However, we are in a position to assist
in the development of a proposed standard for server command and control by
providing requirements, reviewing and editing proposals, and contributing to
the open discussion of a command and control protocol.

Also, my mail client did not capture your e-mail address from the posting,
so could you please send it along to facilitate direct discussion?

>>> . . . we wonder if our DHCP servers could be monitored and controlled
via SNMP. . . .

. . . . This lead to the integration of an SNMP agent in the CMU DHCP
server. . . . We've also envisioned an interactive monitor process for
monitoring things via SNMP . . . .

. . . I was hoping to move toward a making a draft on the MIB at some
point in the future. . . . I have a copy of the MIB if anyone wants to see
it, though.
