You are correct that NetWare/IP 2.2 runs only on 4.x servers. The DHCP
server is bundled with NetWare/IP 2.2 but can be run as a standalone
product and as such does work on NetWare 3.x. As I said, I'm not sure
of the licensing ramifications but technically the product does work.

The Novell server supports multiple subnets but only one range per
subnet. This can be circumvented by utilizing the manual address
feature. Novell's configuration utility does support setting the
NetBIOS Name Server and NetBIOS Node Type options which are helpful in a
Microsoft networking TCP/IP environment. Novell also allows setting the
T1/T2 times and includes the NetWare/IP parameters as well.

I can vouch that the server will support Microsoft Windows 95/NT/WFW
DHCP clients. There is an inconsistency with manual addressing as
Novell returns an infinite lease with finite T1/T2 times which
Microsoft's clients ignore. Other than that, and the aforementioned
mobile client difficulty, we've detected no other problems.
