I have a question about the "parameter request list" option (Tag number=55)
that a DHCP client sends to request values for specified configuration
parameters. As per RFC 1533, Sec 9.6, each requested parameter is a 
valid DHCP option code.

What does the term 'valid DHCP option code' refer to ? Can the option
code be any of the numbers specified in RFC1533, that include the RFC1497
vendor extensionsi also?  ALternatively, does it refer only to the
vendor information extensions specific to DHCP (as defined in Section 9
of RFC 1533) ?

For constructing a reply, the server implementation in bootp-2.4.3 code seems 
to insert the options, that are specified as symbols in the bootptab file.
