X-Comment: Discussion of DHCP for IPv4
I have a NT DHCP server which has an address pool configured. But it seems that the address range cannot be changed. When I tried to modify the 3rd or 4th byte of the IP addresses for the range, the DHCP server configuration complains: "The range is extended less than the specified backward extension. Extend the range in integral of 32 addresses". The message is unclear. Does anybody know what is the cause? To assign a differnt subnet address range, is there a special procedure to configure the DHCP server? -stephen
