Hi all- I've configured a dhcp server (solaris) to serve information on static route configurations to our dhcp clients. I got the server to serve the static routes (via the StaticRt symbol). Works great. Now the only problem is that my DHCP clients (i.e. windoze2k) are setting a
netmask of 255.255.255.255 for the routes. In other words, I'm setting via DHCP that the address 192.168.0.0 is routed through 10.1.1.2 with the sincere hope that the dhcp clients will use the netmask 255.255.0.0 for that static route. No such luck. The netmask is 255.255.255.255.

How to I specify a netmask for a static route from a DHCP server?

Thanks!

Best regards,

Richrad
