Guys,

Just to pick a random message on this thread to respond to, I think
it would be Swell if a DHCP server could send back some configuration
information for the benefit of an NTP server.

If the information is "here's *a* server you should use" I would like to
see that information be either an IP (v4 or v6) or a DNS name.

If it is a *list* of servers, I would like to see that list contain any
of IPs (v4 or v6) and/or hostnames.

If it is more generic "ntp configuration information" then prehaps
regardless of whatever other formats are proffered, I would be happy to
see a URL as a choice.

Also please remmeber that there is an excellent chance that there will
be something in between ntp on the client and the incoming DHCP packet
that "handles" the information and ntp may *never* actually directly
talk to the DHCP server.  OTOH, it might.
