Notification:

The IESG recommends that the internet-draft "A Catalog of Available
X.500 Implementations" <draft-ietf-disi-catalog-01> be published as an
FYI Informational RFC. This document is the work of the Directory
Information Services Infrastructure working group of the IETF.

Evaluation:

This document catalogs currently available implementations of X.500,
including commercial products and openly available offerings. It
contains descriptions of Directory System Agents (DSA), Directory User
Agents (DUA), and DUA client applications. The latter can include
such applications as browsers, DSA management tools, or lightweight
DUAs that employ an application-level protocol to communicate with a
DUA (which then in turn communicates with a DSA) to support user
service.
