We have created a new non WG email list to discuss topics of what types of broad changes we might want to make to the IETF media stack. The changes include things as broad as replacing or making significant changes to STUN, TURN, ICE, RTP, and SDP. It would be good to get input on what features we could get by using modern networking techniques and what impact it might have to the design.

One of the areas we would like to explore is things like using ICN for interactive voice and video conferences.

There is interest in what we can do to unify some of the ideas for non interactive media and interactive media.

This is a list about getting a bunch of ideas good and/or crazy ideas and figuring out the impact and what we might want to do with theses ideas. Once we have some ideas of what we might do if we changed everything, we can look at how they might be broken into smaller incremental changes to existing protocols.

Thanks, Cullen
