Hi there all, I'm sending this to multiple lists, so you might get multiple copies… As mentioned during the Deleg BoF, we are casting a wide net for chairs for the (proposed) Deleg WG. The DNS is "core plumbing" for the Internet. It is also one of the very few protocols which has scaled throughout the life of the Internet with almost no changes; as delegations are the primary scaling mechanism, we need to be careful to not mess this up. Because of this, we are being extra cautious with the chair selection. This makes it tempting to just reappoint well-known, experienced chairs -- but we also want to ensure that we are not overlooking anyone, and are also creating space for newcomers to be able to gain some chairing experience. Some people are not very comfortable putting themselves forward, and so I've decided to do this as a survey / form — it's both less intimidating to just fill in a form, and also this provides an easy way to nominate someone else… So, if you are interested in being considered as a chair for the (proposed) Deleg WG, or know of anyone else who you think would be great, please fill in this (anonymous) survey -- only Éric Vyncke and myself (Warren) will have access to the results. https://forms.gle/n1eDTDX7iAjGJ6Ne9 Thank you, W
