Appeal to personal authority is entirely appropriate when defending against
an attack on personal expertise.

I do not believe that I claimed twenty years experience in DNSSEC, but I
certainly have over twenty years experience in PKI.

I discussed DNSSEC with Don in 1995. That work was itself performed in the
aftermath of the collapse of the PEM root project. Given that my argument at
TASK was that we had been engaged in development of DNSSEC since the
incorporation date of VeriSign (1995) I am pretty sure that I gave the right
date.


I spoke on this issue at the second World Wide Web Conference in Chicago in
1994.
