Hi all,

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the discussion on draft-ietf-dnsop-sutld-ps. The process of producing it has taken longer than we initially anticipated and sometimes been painful, but the resulting document can serve as a basis for further discussion of issues, tradeoffs, and ways to make things better in the area of the IETF’s treatment of special use domain names.

The chairs have reviewed the document, its history in the WG, and the WG last call, and we find consensus to advance it to the IESG, intended for publication as an Informational RFC.

As we noted to the WG in Chicago, Warren would normally be the Area Director responsible for a draft from DNSOP, but as he’s an editor on this draft, another IESG member will be asked to oversee the next steps instead.

best,
Suzanne & Tim
