Some background:
The authors of this has asked me to AD sponsor it, but I felt it was much
better to have it progress through the normal IETF / DNSOP process, and so
I asked them to bring it here, but my support for adoption should be viewed
like any other...

I don't think the execution is relevant when it was obviously a bad idea in
the first place.
