I think this has been poked at a little before - apologies if I'm
retreading:

In the introduction, this sentence is out of place - I suggest simply
removing it, as it's covered unchanged in RFC8713.

Current members of the Internet Society Board of Trustees, IETF Trust, LLC Board, IAB, and IESG are ineligible.

If this document needs to call that out, give some hint of why, and move
it out of the paragraph that it is currently in.

RjS

(p.s. Not a PR yet because I don't know if there was a why for calling
that out)
