Recommendation:

The IESG recommends to the IAB that the Internet Draft "Definitions
of Managed Objects for the Ethernet-like Interface Types"
<draft-ietf-ethermib-objectsv2-02.txt> be published as a Draft
Standard. A companion document "Implementation Notes and Experience
for The Internet Ethernet MIB" <draft-ietf-ethermib-implexp-00.txt>
should be published as an informational document.

The Draft Standard version of the Ethernet MIB was developed by the
Ethernet MIB Working Group of the IETF. The Proposed Standard
version of this MIB was published as RFC 1284 in December of 1991.
Chuck Davin, the Network Management Area Director is the IESG Point
  of Contact for this protocol.

Rationale:

The Ethernet MIB Working Group and these two documents were developed
at the request of the IAB in preparation for the elevation to Draft
Standard. In particular the Working Group was tasked to write an
implementation status report and an updated version of the MIB
  reflecting implementation experience.
