Is some form of standardization being considered?

One big challenge was mentioned but seems to add significant
complexity both in terms of standardization as well as communication:
There are plenty of cases where there isn’t just one feed (with
typical use cases being feeds for comments as well as individual
topics). Even if a standard is developed that allows for both
centralized (à la “.well-known”) and decentralized feed handling
(parallel to whatever resource they allow to syndicate), that seems a
distance away from “a single path” and still require a lot of appetite
to make site owners change their approach, plus trust that system so
as to not rely on metadata describing feed URLs anymore (and us
effectively ending up with two standards).
