It appears that Michael Jones <michael_b_jones@hotmail.com> said: >-=-=-=-=-=- > >What else? Identity! That covers a lot of ground. You suggested identifying subscribers so they could post comments without further approval. Comments are going to come from the browser showing the feed entry, so I don't see why you need any more than a login cookie for that. I subscribe to paid feeds, which as Mark notes generally have a nonce in the URL which is both a pain to set up, and makes it hard to cache. I can see a variety of better ways to do that starting with quaint old HTTP auth. I can also see situations where feed owners would like to know that the same person is reading two feeds, but as a person, I'm not sure I want to make that easier. R's, John
