My problem about allowing a config command in the same PL-message as a
query command (and I think Zsolt agrees with me), is that it complicates
handling of any responses.  I believe that, for any PL message with
config commands, all of the possible exception responses can fit into
a single PL message, and therefore we can correlate at the PL layer.
However, it could be typical that a small query command message could
result in several PL messages being returned (e.g., GET an entire
table).

For simplicity, I would like to see PL messages typed as either
CONFIG-REQUEST, CONFIG-RESPONSE, QUERY-REQUEST, QUERY-RESPONSE,
ASYNC-EVENT, ...
