Dear Arjuna, thanks for this, you always bring yummy bits here sharing with GAIAers, very appreciate! ☺

In addition to these visible and informative coverage maps, I aware that a group of excellent researchers in Zhejiang University@China, headed by Prof. Honggang Zhang (cced here and his info. can be found in below link*), have revealed the suitability of α-Stable distribution in the cellular networks’ topology evolution for several scenarios.
*Prof. Zhang’s page: https://person.zju.edu.cn/en/honggangzhang/694806.html

This thing has also been validated on two European mobile networks, led by A/Prof. Luca Chiaraviglio, see below:
“What is the Best Spatial Distribution to Model Base Station Density? A Deep Dive in Two European Mobile Networks,"
Affordable pdf version: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/301278919_What_Is_the_Best_Spatial_Distribution_to_Model_Base_Station_Density_A_Deep_Dive_into_Two_European_Mobile_Networks

On the other hand, the InternetNZ here in our New Zealand has our Kiwi’s digital divide map presented already:
https://internetnz.nz/digital-divide-map
https://digitaldivide.nz/

Ha…just imaging that IT, might be also following α-Stable distribution, since behinding all these mobile stations/mobile phones, computers, are us of human consumers who could be with similar demand behaviours for communications, from the past of a physical letter, a txt message, a phone call, an email to the current ‘big’ and ‘over-weighted’ multimedia things mixed with infollutions…? ;-)

Cheers Will
