Proposing experiments in the absence of data on the problem is a really inefficient way to
discover what is going on.

The only thing the community generally sees is the flow of drafts->RFC through the IESG. We’ve heard from at least one AD that this is half the job. How do we measure where AD’s spend their time?  Yes, there was feedback in the meeting that data would be useful, but right now it seems like an insoluble probem.  I’d love to hear suggestions that I’m wrong.

I would refer you to Alissa's comments at the microphone about the context in which
these comments are made. In any case, the point of this text was to say that I disagree
with this, whatever other people who were ADs may or may not have said.

Alissa was commenting on why the “job descriptions” often mention 40 hours. I was referring to what incumbents almost always said during their interviews.
