Does anyone have any idea how many messages there are in the archives that have
web bugs?  I think I understand how I could do it, but it seems like a lot of
work for minimal benefit.

Messages from commercial bulk mailers are full of web bugs, but I don't think I've
ever seen one on an IETF list.
