Hi Everyone,

I hope you are as excited as I am about our first ever online version of the IETF Hackathon. Please note these important updates about the Hackathon, especially the part about the need for a datatracker account to join the kickoff of the Hackathon, which will be via Meetecho.

================================
IETF 108 Online Hackathon
July 20-24, 2020
Sponsored by: ICANN

Hackathon Wiki: https://trac.ietf.org/trac/ietf/meeting/wiki/108hackathon
More information can be found here: https://www.ietf.org/how/runningcode/hackathons/108-hackathon/
Keep up to date by subscribing to: https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/hackathon

NOTE: You will need a datatracker account to login to the Hackathon Meetecho sessions and gather.town. When you register for the hackathon, you are sent a separate email to create a datatracker account. If you already have a datatracker account, please ensure that the email address you registered with is added to your account. If you received the email but the link to create an account has expired, please see the instructions below:

1. Go to https://datatracker.ietf.org/accounts/create/
2. Select ‘new account’ from the User menu at the top
3. Enter the email address that you registered with for the hackathon
4. Follow the instructions in the email you receive

CHAMPIONS:
As the IETF 108 Hackathon is taking place globally and entirely online, it is up to individual project teams to determine the preferred times, dates, and ways to meet to work on their project. You are encouraged to enter your project's meeting details here: https://trac.ietf.org/trac/ietf/meeting/wiki/108hackathon/teamschedule

Meetecho Links:
Below are the links for the kickoff and closing sessions of the Hackathon. These links are also available from the agenda: https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/108/agenda/
Kickoff: Monday, July 20 14:00-16:00 UTC https://meetings.conf.meetecho.com/ietf108/?group=hackathon
Closing: Friday, July 24 at 14:00-16:00 UTC https://meetings.conf.meetecho.com/ietf108/?group=hackathon&item=2

gather.town:
The IETF is conducting an experiment with a new tool to facilitate social interaction. The IETF Lounge in gather.town will be available for Hackathon projects and attendees to meet during the Hackathon, and also during the official IETF meeting week. Please note that this is an experiment and there may be a limit of users during certain times of day inside the gather space. The link for the gather.town IETF space will be made available on July 19 on the Hackathon wiki https://trac.ietf.org/trac/ietf/meeting/wiki/108hackathon.
==================================

Thanks, and see you Monday!
