To be fair, there's nothing *in principle* preventing an implementation of
OSPFv3 from encoding interesting stuff within its metric -- there's 16
bits to play with, if memory serves, just like in Babel.  Whether it's
actually doable in practice would require somebody actually doing the work
and trying it out.
