Hi all,

I want to draw your attention to a new draft from Apple and Google that
defines best practice for manufactures of location trackers to ensure
they are not used for stalking, harassment and theft.

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-detecting-unwanted-location-trackers/

My colleagues Nick Doty and others at CDT along with the National
Network to End Domestic Violence have reacted to the news in a press
release, which gives more context:
https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2023/05/apple-google-partner-on-an-industry-specification-to-address-unwanted-tracking/

It’s really important that this work is happening in the IETF.

Alignment with Sofia, Juliana and my efforts on the intimate partner
violence draft is also notable.
