Like I said, this is not a tool for you (the site operator), it's a
tool for our users.

I don't see how using service workers would be bad here.  You wanted
this level of control and now you don't have to ask for something new,
you just have to do some work.

But as proposed you would be able to pin index.html.  So I don't get
