Hi, all.

The I2NSF will hold a virtual interim meeting on September 6th at 16:00 GMT (that’s 6pm in Spain and central Europe, Noon on the US East Coast, 9am on the US West Coast)

The purpose is to discuss the issues raised about draft-abad-i2nsf-sdn-ipsec-flow-protection.

One issue is the applicability of the draft to different IPsec scenarios, such as site-to-site VPN, remote access VPN, communications between nodes in a data center, and others. It is entirely possible that the concerns raised by IPsec (mostly VPN) people are related to the scope of the draft.

The other issue is what the draft calls “case 2” where traffic (IPsec) keys are generated on the SDN controller rather than using a key exchange protocol between the NSFs.

If people would like to make a short presentation to clarify their position during the meeting, please contact Linda and me. The authors need not do so. We will contact them within a few days.

A detailed agenda will be by August 25th. Call-in details will be sent by August 31st.

Linda and Yoav
