And again :) We have set up a mirror of ftp.nevada.edu. As some of you might know, this server carries a lot of (bass) tablatures, and chords of popular songs for guitar. Now we want to start indexing this files and ran over a problem again: (The examples in the draft are of no big help on this :( ). Suppose you have chords for the song "San Franciscan Nights", performed by Eric Burdon and The Animals. The authors of the song are Burdon/Briggs/Weider/Jenkins/McCulloch. Oki, this could go to Author-v0: ... Author-v4:. Where would you put the name of the group (Eric Burdon and The Animals) to? How about if you have a "remake" by another group? What Template-Type: should be applied? DOCUMENT? A new one? Would one use the "Category:" field with new types like "tablature", "lyrics", "bass tablature" and "chords"? How about lyrics files in general or how about books as "produced" by the Gutenberg Project? What Category would they get? The current examples in Note <1> are somewhat technical and computerish. I'D REALLY BE GLAD TO GET SOME FEEDBACK FOLX! And I think it would be a good idea to change the contact address in the draft to iafa@bunyip.com so that we ALL could follow the comments and discuss them. Maybe Alan could give a short overview of the comments on the latest draft (March 1994). \Maex -- ______________________________________________________________________________ Markus Stumpf Markus.Stumpf@Informatik.TU-Muenchen.DE http://www.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/~stumpf/
