Hi, and thanks for the discussion pointers.  I'll go off and have a look.

My characterization of "grudgingly" was meant to apply to a few people
who very strongly think the appointee should always be the IETF Chair.
It sounds too dismissive now that I read it again, and I'm sorry I
used it.

I would find that text clear enough, and thanks for suggesting it.

I think this is now in Joe's hands, and the working group's, and I'll
eagerly await a revision soon.
