I agree with almost everything Noel said, except his conclusion! I
think before we go to PS we should do one round of reevaluating our
early decisions and see if we could do significantly better within a
relatively short period of time--RELATIVE TO THE LENGTH OF TIME IT
WILL TAKE IT TO GO THRU THE IETF PROCESS AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE
LENGTH OF TIME WE WILL LIVE WITH IT THEREAFTER.

It is GOOD that we made early compromikses on the scope of problem we
would look at. It did let us build something and play with it. I see
the logical next step is to  learn from that experience and do the
next round.

PS Apologies if the IAB does NOT want to hear this discussion...i am
responding to Noels distribution list altho i took of IESG...for no
specific reason othe rthan it seems strange for a discussion that was
being held on IDPR-WG to suddenly get escallated to so many people
when they lack the context of the discussion...
