Subject: PS documents

Martha,

if there are problems getting stuff into the ID directories like
I've had with the MIB and such, feel free to use our anonymous FTP
directory at SAIC to deposit the updated spec. Just post the location
to this list for now.

Also, on several occasions I've seen PS files munged when they get installed
as RFC and I-Ds. I know Joyce Reynolds has taken one of my toy fix programs
that I used to doctor documents when I was having problems printing some PS
documents (fixes simple things like postscript lines that are too long for
some printers and removing spurious "-0" values that blow up other printers).
I don't know if the CNRI folks do anything about this sort of thing for I-D's

It may be painful, and this is quite a concession coming from me who so
ardently opposed being forced to submit ascii at one point (because it
was a pain to do ascii version of figures), But submitting an ascii
version would solve a lot of problems for timely distribution of the spec
until the "prettier" version can be done.
