given the LL nature of the IP addresses (= no DNS) this sounds a reasonable proposal.

assuming that all name information go to some internal database for resolution:
have you put some thought on how to consolidate naming information from different
sources ? (bgp-hostnames, BGP-LS node/link names, LLDP ...)
