it is a grotty hack.  but it works and is well embedded in ops use.  so
what the heck.

you seem to think in quantity.  i am not.

what is the need for it?  we do what this seems to want already.  we use
one bloody private as and turn off loop check.  yes, it is kinky.  but
we already bought into kink when we decided to hide a peering.

given that, this just smells like an end-run on the iana/rir system.
now i probably hate the rirs more than anyone.  but it is the system we
have.  and if folk are assigning this stuff willy nilly, then i want a
proper registry.
