Mine covers path hunting, which necessarily must include work which addresses persistent oscillations (as that can trigger persistent path hunting!). And, if you had been following discussion on my draft, you would realize that the "step back" will no longer be the case. But, I suggest you wait for the next version (under a slightly modified name due to the removal of "backup") before commenting further.
