[Idr] Four IDR Interims planned prior to IETF-121 in Dublin

IDR WG chairs have planned the following four interims before  IETF-121.
We hope this will help make our work at IETF-121 highly interactive and productive.

Interims:
#1 Interim September 9, 2024 - BGP-LS and SR Routing Drafts

Interim agenda:

  1.  Status of IDR WG regarding BGP-LS and Segment Routing [IDR Chairs]
  2.  Presentation on IDR WG drafts for BGP-LS or SR prior to WG LC

Any author teams wishing a WG LC prior to IETF-121 should present at this interim meeting.


  1.  Presentations on Individual Drafts for BGP-LS or SR prior to WG Adoption

Any author teams wishing a WG Adoption prior to IETF-121 should present at this interim meeting.

All IDR WG drafts and proposed individual drafts presenting at this meeting will receive a Shepherd's

Any author groups for BGP-LS or Segment drafts wishing WG Last Call or Adoption should

your presentation.

#2 interim - September 23, 2024 - BGP Next Hop + BGP Bandwidth Discussions

Time: 10-12:30 pm EDT (expected duration 1.5-2 hours)

Description: During IETF-120 and in emails afterward, we had discussions on the following;
a. BGP next Hop Features, and b. Link Bandwidth.
This interim will discuss the potential solutions for each.

Agenda:
1. BGP Next Hop Features from the following drafts [45-60 minutes]
  draft-ietf-idr-multinexthop-attribute-01
  draft-ssangli-idr-bgp-generic-metric-00
  draft-ietf-idr-entropy-label-14

2. BGP Link Bandwidth [30-45 minutes]
    This work has two types of work:  Fixing the transitive/non-transitive community and new work.
    The drafts related to bandwidth include the following:
     draft-ietf-idr-link-bandwidth-07,
     draft-ietf-bess-ebgp-dmz
     draft-ietf-bess-evpn-unequal-lb
     draft-li-idr-link-bandwidth-ext/02/
     draft-xu-idr-fare-01

Interim 3: September 30th-  FSv2 and Secure VPNs (IDR + BESS)
Interim: denoted as interim-13
Time: 10-12:30 pm EDT (expected duration 1.5-2 hours)

This interim will provide updates to the FSv2 work on

  *   Basic IP filters - draft-ietf-idr-fsv2-ip-basic-00
  *   FSv2 Extended IP Filter mechanisms - draft-hares-idr-fsv2-more-ip-filters
  *   FSv2 Actions in Extended Community + Path Attributes - draft-hares-idr-fsv2-more-ip-actions
  *   FSv2 WG drafts + individual drafts (I-D) for Extended Filters
  *   FSv2 WG drafts + Individual drafts (I-D) for new FSv1 and FSv2 actions

This interim will discuss SDWAN drafts and Secure VPN from BESS
With presentations on:

  *   history IP-sec tunnels in BGP, and secure VPN (bess)
  *   draft-ietf-idr-sdwan-edge-discovery-13,
  *   draft-sheng-idr-gw-exchange-in-sd-wan-02,
  *   draft-ietf-bess-secure-evpn-00, and
  *   draft-saumthimma-evpn-ip-binding-sync-04.

Interim 4:  October-14 - Initial Draft for IETF-121
(denoted as interim-14)

If you wish to present a drafty at IETF-121,
You must present the draft at the October 14th interim.

Deadline for the draft publication is October-11, and
Presentations are due on October 13.
