Joel Halpern: Don't see problems with the document. Sue Hares: Have the segment types be adopted in some Spring document? Joel Halpern: That is a good question. Alvaro Retana: The segment types mentioned here are not defined yet. Joel: Segment types definition is wide open, but it does need to be done somewhere. Alvaro: This draft is allocation both the segment types. Sue: In the past, didn't the segment types arise out of the Spring draft. Ketan: I do not think this document explicitly states it is allocating the new types. Joel is correct. This IDR draft needs to allocate these new SR Seg Types: https://www.iana.org/assignments/segment-routing/segment-routing.xhtml#segment-types Sue: My concern is that the BGP assignments are IDR's work. It seems the validity of a new segment type is in Spring's charter. Joel: The way the rules are written, the segment types do not even need an RFC to request one. Anyone can request a segment type. We would prefer they are reviewed in IETF. The best thing to put it in one draft [-11] and send it to Spring. If there is a problem, then we can do this in one draft. Sue: Please the authors send request for new segment types to IDR and SPRING chairs. Jeff Haas: Question to SPRING chairs, do you think some checkpoints in SPRING is needed before IDR can move forward
