The IESG has approved the following document: - 'Transport Layer Security Protocol Compression Methods ' <draft-ietf-tls-compression-07.txt> as a Proposed Standard This document is the product of the Transport Layer Security Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Steve Bellovin and Russ Housley. Technical Summary TLS (and SSL before it) have long had a hook for a compression method, but none was ever defined. This defines one such method, and sets out the mechanisms for defining others. Working Group Summary There were no major issues raised in the working group. Protocol Quality This document was reviewed for the IESG by Steve Bellovin.
