This memo registers and documents the 'haptics' top-level media type,
under which subtypes for representation formats for haptics may be
registered. This document also serves as a registration for a set of
subtypes, which are representative of some existing subtypes already
in use.

This document is a product of the Media Type Maintenance Working Group of the IETF.

This is now a Proposed Standard.

STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet Standards Track
protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions
for improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the Official
