Dear Colleagues,

The IAB is responsible for selecting a liaison to represent the IETF on the ICANN Board of Directors. This position is reviewed every 2 years, but there is no limit on length of service.

The candidates who accepted their nominations are:

  • Harald Avestrand [1]
  • Farzaneh Badiei  [9]
  • Hago Dafalla [2]
  • John Klensin [3]
  • David Lawrence [4]
  • Lars-Johan Liman [5]
  • Terry Manderson [6]
  • Pete Resnick [7]

The IAB solicits feedback on these candidates by 23:59 UTC on Monday, 19 August 2024. Further details on the requirements and expectations for the position are available in the original call for nominations [8].

Please send your response to iab-chair@iab.org and execd@iab.org. If you would like your feedback to be anonymized, please indicate such in your response. The IAB expects to finalize its selection before the end of August 2024 and the appointee will begin participating as the new board of directors liaison by the ICANN 81 meeting in November.
