Purpose: YANG SIDs (RFC 9595) provide an efficient way to name YANG items in messages, specifically also when using YANG-CBOR (RFC 9254).  The registration process as defined in RFC 9595 now needs to be put into practice.  The mailing list coordinates RFC 9595 authors, IANA, the RFC Production Center, and other YANG enthusiasts in supporting setting up and evolving the logistics for that.  Technical discussion about YANG SIDs is on-topic only in so far as it supports logistics processes.
