Technical Summary

This document demonstrates the fundamental motivation for RDDP, and explains
the background of RDMA for the uninitiated. It shows how RDDP helps to avoid
copy overhead bottlenecking in systems connected to high-speed networks, and
introduces some of the security concerns associated with this approach.

Working Group Summary

The advancement of this draft was supported by the RDDP WG.

Protocol Quality

This document was reviewed for the IESG by Jon Peterson.
