The IESG has received a request from the QUIC WG (quic) to consider the following document: - 'Managing multiple paths for a QUIC connection' <draft-ietf-quic-multipath-17.txt> as Proposed Standard The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the last-call@ietf.org mailing lists by 2025-12-22. Exceptionally, comments may be sent to iesg@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting. Abstract This document specifies a multipath extension for the QUIC protocol to enable the simultaneous usage of multiple paths for a single connection. It proposes a standard way to create, delete, and manage paths using identifiers. It does not specify address discovery or management, nor how applications using QUIC schedule traffic over multiple paths. The file can be obtained via https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-quic-multipath/ No IPR declarations have been submitted directly on this I-D.
