A new Request for Comments is now available in online RFC libraries. RFC 8173 Title: Precision Time Protocol Version 2 (PTPv2) Management Information Base Author: V. Shankarkumar, L. Montini, T. Frost, G. Dowd Status: Standards Track Stream: IETF Date: June 2017 Mailbox: vinays@cisco.com, lmontini@cisco.com, tim.frost@calnexsol.com, greg.dowd@microsemi.com Pages: 64 Characters: 118608 Updates/Obsoletes/SeeAlso: None I-D Tag: draft-ietf-tictoc-ptp-mib-12.txt URL: https://www.rfc-editor.org/info/rfc8173 DOI: 10.17487/RFC8173 This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB) for use with network management protocols in internets based on TCP or IP. In particular, it defines objects for managing networks using the Precision Time Protocol (PTP), specified in IEEE Std. 1588-2008. This memo specifies a MIB module in a manner that is both compliant to the Structure of Management Information version 2 (SMIv2) and semantically identical to the peer SMIv1 definitions. This document is a product of the Timing over IP Connection and Transfer of Clock Working Group of the IETF. This is now a Proposed Standard. STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet Standards Track protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the Official Internet Protocol Standards (https://www.rfc-editor.org/standards) for the standardization state and status of this protocol. Distribution of this memo is unlimited. This announcement is sent to the IETF-Announce and rfc-dist lists.
